Lance Trexler
Lance became interested in oil painting when he was 12 years old. He had the good fortune to live in a small rural town in Indiana where Robert Weaver, Professor of Art at the then Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, also lived. However, in late adolescence, art was replaced by ten years in academia, and it was not until the age of 41 did Lance return to serious painting and classes at the Indianapolis Art Center. Art has always been a passion throughout his life, and visits to art museums throughout primarily the United States and Europe were either vacation destinations or added to the itinerary for professional travel.
His works of art are in oil and some are in pastel. As a small antidote to the struggles and challenges of our time, the goal of his art is to find, emphasize, and express beauty and intensity in nature and in people.
